The Popular Show Season Four Unveils the Soldiers Table

Since the launch of Campaign 4, new Dungeon Master Brennan Lee Mulligan has kept fans guessing with extensive world-building, a colorful mix of personalities, and a thrilling plot showcasing celestial beings, fiends, and dark forces growing in influence within Dol-Makjar.

Note: Revealing details for the latest installment of the new season follow below.

The Combat-Oriented Party Revealed

The third episode finished on a major cliffhanger and introduced the first table of characters who will split off from the primary party to embark on their separate journey, separate from the additional parties.

The combat-focused team features Teor Pridesire (brought to life by Travis), the agile character (Laura), Tyranny (Whitney Moore), the cleric (the player), and Kattigan Vale (Robbie Daymond).

Why Split the Party?

Considering a large ensemble, it was clear from the beginning that having everyone at one table would be unfeasible.

Hence, the initial installments of Campaign 4 serve as an Overture, intertwining the personal journeys before splitting into three smaller tables: Warriors, Strategists, and Questers.

The Nature of the Combat Party

As described by the Dungeon Master, the warrior group is for players who are drawn to a traditionally charged battle-oriented gameplay experience where non-violent answers are few and far between.

At first glance, characters like the reluctant priest the cleric might seem out of place, but the actions of the third episode show why these five characters are ideally matched for the combat party.

Reasons to Leave

For one thing, the team knows exactly where to proceed after a intense opening clash with The Crow Keepers.

An old friend of Thjazi Fang—whose demise initiated the campaign’s events—exploited the enemy for his own means, entering Thjazi’s hideout, striking the rogue, and swiping all the enchanted items to auction.

Casimir then cleared his liabilities and ran away to a secure base in the remote area, north of the urban center, with Cyd pursuing him.

Personal Motivations

Secondly, each character has a specific drive to depart the metropolitan area:

  • The agile hero, as the close ally and closest confidant, seeks retribution.
  • Kattigan is familiar with the northern area and advises that it is a dangerous place.
  • Tyranny and Wicander, having resisted his family’s wishes to eliminate the target and instead rescued him, have no other options.
  • However, their position as important members in the powerful family could enable the group reach places they normally couldn’t.
  • Additionally, The fighter pledged a life debt to Wicander for his salvation and will now go with him everywhere.

Wanted and Hunted

In addition, all of them are wanted by the rulers that rule Dol-Makjar for a range of causes, making lingering locally too risky:

  • The rogue and The hero are recognized lawbreakers.
  • The strong figure and The healer turned against House Halovar and the army of fiends they are partnered with.
  • Teor is targeted for elimination by the family.

This results in them few options but to journey toward the remote area in quest for the antagonist.

What’s Next?

From the latest episode’s post-show segment, we learn that the Soldiers table will be absent in the upcoming installment, leaving the other eight participants to assemble the Explorers and Strategists groups.

Fans can look forward to discovering which adventurers will be assigned to which table in the story’s final introductory chapter, released on the upcoming Thursday.
